Saree Blouse Know Your Fabric

Mixing and Matching/Custom Tailoring

Sarees have been a part of Indian culture for many hundreds of years. The saree blouse, however, is a newer edition. Perhaps that's why a lot of people have trouble with the concept of a saree blouse. It sometimes takes 50 or 100 years for a trend to catch on. Right...
Here are a few helpful hints that will make picking a saree blouse design a little easier.

Silk sarees are not meant to be worn with blouses like this. Someone forgot to tell this daft bird that this blouse design makes her look like she has ass cheeks on her back. The strings are way too thick, the placement too close and the border too tacky for this blouse to turn out sexy. This kind of fabric wasn't meant to be made into strings. Unless you want to looked like packed meat, avoid this blunder.

Here's Priyanka Chopra wearing the exact same design, but on a completely different type of fabric. Even though the sleeves are longer than normal, the sultry style suits her figure and her saree. She doesn't look like packed meat like that dolt above. The smaller/thinner strings combined with a nice border make this blouse (which the exactly the same design) look a 100 times better.

Saree Blouse - Don't

WTF was this bitch thinking? She's guilty on multiple counts. Not only does the blouse not match the saree, it also looks like she's wearing an ugly dish rag. Since this is the saree blouse post, I'm not even going to talk about the mismatched bangles. If you can't put in the effort of getting a saree blouse stitched, stick to salwars.

Saree Blouse - Do

The ever classy Hema Malini shows you how to mix and match colours and fabrics the right way. For pity's sake, get your saree blouses custom made. They don't have to be fancy, they don't have to be expensive, they just have to match your saree!! It's not hard to remember. If you don't want to wear a blouse made from the material that came with the saree, just find something else that matches some aspect of the saree in colour. Unless you have the brain capacity of a pigeon, you shouldn't have any trouble with this concept.
